My work is inspired by 17th century German and Japanese botanical illustration as well as  Scandinavian and Japanese ceramics.  I have an MFA in ceramics from the Chicago Art Institute and have used my photo editor skills to dive deep into botanical illustration from around the world.

Each plate is hand thrown and painted with a cobalt stain. The clay body is a high fire porcelain fired to cone 10 in a reduction gas kiln.

The pieces are made by hand in my Brooklyn home. Occasionally I invite people in for studio visits, follow on my instagram for notices!
